I started my 10k training today at week 3, which is run 90secs, walk 90secs, run 3mins, walk 3mins x4. I covered a lot more ground this way and I even had energy to do an extra half mile or so at the end just for fun!
Obviously my mileage is slower due to the timed run/walk intervals but that is something I can work on now I’ve got a good route planned out and know I’m not going to get stitch! I kept getting impatient at how long the walking intervals were but I know I have to start slow in order to get the most out of it and it will be worth it in the long run. Lol.
